The artist Tom otterness was selected by the arts commission to put up some of his famous bronze sculptors. On three levels of the moscone station, but he recently had his project put on hold. Thirty years ago when otterness was twenty five years old he recorded a video of himself killing a dog he had got from the pound. The name of the video was called shot dog. He claims that it was art. And with the population of dogs being greater then children there is absolutely know tolerance for killing dogs.
When I first read this article It was appalling. There are so many different forms of art and self expression. When it comes to killing defenseless animals there is know excuse or way to play it off and redeem yourself from that, its just morally wrong and insensitive to do such a thing. And I feel he’s lucky that all they took from him was his project, and didn’t throw him in jail while thy were at it.
