along awaited journey almost coming to an end

Some of the first skills that I am anticipating to use are my business communication skills and professional skills. Because the first thing I’m going to do is come into contact with my new manager on my meet and great and I will have to exude everything I have learned in the past six months.

What are the possibilities of me growing in this company and making a career out of the position I will possibly be placed in. The kind of office environment that I would enjoy working in would be a semi fast paced, but at the same time laid back and not extremely stuffy environment. I really am hoping for an environment that my characteristics and the characteristics of the company they place me in mesh well.

The type of manager I believe I will work well under would have to be someone who is efficient and well-rounded and able to work with all types of personalities, but be able to deliver their requirements and expectations in a manner I will be able to understand and won’t have to continuously come to them asking for help.

Soft skills I hope to polish at my internship would be my facial expressions learning to smile more and become more inviting and personable as well as hard skills I hope to embrace the knowledge and culture of the tech community and learn as much as I possibly can from this experience.

The biggest anxiety I have about my internship is being able to get transportation there and it not being a big hassle to get there on time and not have to wake up extra early to get there.

I plan to stand out at internship by bringing my personality and flare as well as the skills I have picked up at year up, I feel like that’s going to help me along the way as well as becoming indispensable so the will feel the will need me on their team.

First I’m hoping to get hired on and if that doesn’t work out for me, I will be going back to school to pursue my nursing career. I will be leaving here with a wonderful resume and a great recommendation that can hopefully open new doors for me, and give me a nice platform to work from were ever I might end up.

It’s New Year’s Eve I’m getting ready to go out to a party and dance the year away with my friends. Now I’m taking this time to reflect on my time here at Year Up, and what I have accomplished as a person. Even though it wasn’t a new year I really have made some dramatic changes and transformations in my life. When I first started this program I didn’t realize how closed minded I really was. Now in the short time I’ve been with this group I have learned so much about myself and what really matters in the real world . Before I got to Year Up, my idea of the real world was so skewed, i didn’t have a clue and now with this new year approaching I can’t wait for what is on the other side for me and my fellow colleagues . so long for now I’ll talk to you next year.

Hey it’s Christmas I just woke up, it looks like a standard Christmas day in San Francisco. Cold! I woke up to the smell of food and foggy Windows. I am instantly hungry mouthwatering for the sweet taste of stuffing. We have no presents to give each other, but were going to just sit on the couch and watch all the corny hallmark movies we can digest, in one day. Now Christmas is here I just finished my plate and I’m ready to go lie down and sleep for two days but now its time for me to go watch a Charlie Brown Christmas with my mom. I’m out for now.

Diary Entry #1

It’s the beginning of my Christmas vacation. I’m so excited I don’t know what to do with myself.
I am anticipating what is going to happen on Friday besides waking up late. Scared that ill fall behind schedule I plan on occupying my time on each day with things i normally am unable to get done with my schedule around year up. Or apply the beginning of each day with a bit of tech reading to stay current and up to date. Also I’m going to try and focus in on my business communications work but most of all I want to have fun! I also plan on try and finish my book called the mocking jay, it is a really great science fiction book a lord of the flies meets harry potter book. So long for now see you next entry.

Internship readiness

Some Qualities of Someone who is internship ready is if there professional, upbeat and ready to jump rightinto what ever there tasks might be. how i am going to model internsip readiness in module 3, is by conducting myself in the same manor you would as if you were in the office setting. i am going to take what i have learned from each module before this one and run with it, by keeping a professional look look attitude and striving to learn, aswell as becoming more engaged and always excepting the new challenges and oppurtunitys that might come my way.
